The following protocol shall apply for use of the NIPRD/NIH laboratory facilities. Submit a three (3) page research proposal directly (by email) to the Head of the Lab, Dr. Martins Emeje (memeje2011@hotmail.com) using the format (1 – 8) below: 1. Applicant Name: 2. Statement of research work to be undertaken in NIPRD/NIH lab & its relevance to scientific domain/developmental requirements of NIPRD and the Federal Ministry of Health: OPERATIONAL RULES OF THE LAB 1. You are responsible for your research analysis; (ie you will be responsible for carrying out your research analysis) 2. You will be required to strictly follow SOP 3. You will NOT be allowed to operate any of our equipments 4. You will be required to sign a confidentiality agreement before starting your work in the lab. 5. Your activities will be supervised/ monitored by the Lab Manager ensure compliance with NIPRD/ NIH Lab guide lines. 6. At the discretion of the NIPRD/NIH management, some samples requiring simple equipment read out may be done without requiring your presence. 7. Access to lab facilities may be denied at the discretion of NIPRD/NIH management 8. You will be responsible for the cleaning of apparatus, glass wares and lab space used. 9. You will be responsible for the safe disposal of all used samples and wastes generated. 10. Abide by allotted time schedules of the lab Conveyance of approval or otherwise will be after 5 working days Notification of scheduled time to carry out approved work will be within 14 working days after a successful application
